I always love to check out events that support local rescues. While yes, that has become a little tough (and different) due to the pandemic, there are still so many opportunities to support local rescues through virtual or socially distanced events. Here’s a roundup of rescue events I’ve found around Raleigh, Durham, Clayton and beyond. (And don’t worry, I’ll keep this updated as more events are announced!).

March 21: Triangle Beagle Rescue March Adopt-a-thon
Meet adoptable beagle (and maybe grab a drink while you’re there) from 1-3 p.m. at Lonerider Brewing in Wake Forest! Check out the details.

Join the Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC for the “worlds largest flip flop 1k.” This will be held at Bond Brothers Beer Co. in Raleigh starting at 10:30 a.m. Find out more and register.
June 19: Yoga with Doggos
Do downward dog while cuddling an adoptable dog. It’s the best of both worlds! Saving Grace is hosting a yoga with dogs event on June 19th – and don’t worry, no yoga experience is required. I attended a previous event hosted by Saving Grace and had the best time. Learn more in the blog post here.
June 27: Paint Your Pet
Triangle Beagle Rescue has partnered with Pinot’s Palette to host a paint night. Sign up and submit a photo of your dog by June 7, and artists will walk you through the painting process to end up with a beautiful keepsake of your furry friend! $25 of every ticket goes to Triangle Beagle Rescue.
August 28: Run for their Lives 2021
Save the date for Carolina Animal Rescue & Adoption’s (CARA) socially distanced run in Sanford (as long as they are safely able to do so!). More details will be posted here as available.
